New Study Confirms Compelling Link Between Roundup and Increased Risk of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma

A new study is the latest to confirm the link between the use of glyphosate based herbicides, such as Roundup Weedkiller, and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma(NHL).  The study published in the Journal of Mutation Research/Reviews in Mutation Research combined data from multiple case control studies and the most recent Agricultural Health Study cohort from 2018.

Overall, the authors found a 41% increased risk of developing Non Hodgkins Lymphoma among users of glyphosate -based herbicides.  The authors also reviewed published animal and scientific studies that implicated glyphosate exposure with genetic alterations found in Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Overall, the researchers determined there was a “compelling link between exposures to glyphosate-based herbicides and increased risk of NHL.”

This study further solidifies the growing evidence of peer-reviewed medical literature that supports the causal link between Roundup use and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.  This is in addition to the 2015 classification of glyphosate as a probable carcinogen by the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer.

As verdicts continue to be awarded to those harmed by Roundup, more evidence has been alleged of the extent of Monsanto’s prior knowledge about the cancerous link of Roundup use and their failure to warn consumers.
