Alesia Emison, Managing Paralegal for L&E, was named an Unsung Hero as part of the 2021 awards program that honors Missouri law firms’ staff members who play a critical role in their firms. Missouri Lawyers Weekly selects the top staff members in support roles including accounting, human resources, technology, and the full array of non-lawyer roles at firms across the state.
Alesia was honored because of her leadership of legal assistants and her role in training and hiring new employees. “I believe that office culture is very important, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to not only enrich the lives of our clients, but also enhance the culture of our law firm,” she told the paper.
Alesia joined the firm in 2005 as a legal assistant and became a paralegal in 2011 while also earning her MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2012. She is an active member of the AIEG Paralegals group, and helps co-host continuing education events for paralegals on the plaintiffs’ side regularly.
