Partner Mark Emison was part of the honored list of award-winners last week in the annual “Lawyer of the Year” program in St. Louis, hosted by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. Mark was honored as one of the state’s top litigators for the past year based on his work in personal injury litigation and his work with the Midwest Innocence Project.
Mark has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America as one of the top young litigators in the U.S. dedicated to personal injury litigation for plaintiffs. In 2016, Mark was recognized as one of Missouri’s top lawyers under 40, with special distinction for his work in personal injury litigation on the Michael Politte wrongful conviction case.
A graduate of the University of Chicago School of Law, Mark serves on multiple boards of legal and nonprofit organizations. He is also an active member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.
