Kent Emison will moderate “Voir Dire – Issues of Truth, Deception and the Burden to Uncover Juror Misbehavior” on September 22 in Kansas City, Mo. The presentation will be part of the Missouri Bar/Missouri Judicial Conference, September 21-23, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Kent’s panel will include presentations from Hon. James F. Kanatzar, 16th Judicial Circuit (Kansas City); Hon. Lawrence D. Harman, 7th Judicial Circuit (Liberty); and Hon. Timothy W. Perigo, 40th Judicial Circuit (Neosho). The panel discussion will begin at 4:10 p.m. and conclude at 5:00.
Earlier that day, the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Missouri, Hon. Richard B. Teitelman, will deliver the annual Chief Justice’s Address. Along with those remarks, the luncheon will recognize as “Senior Counselors” those men and women who have marked 50 years in practice, or attainment of the age of 75 years.
Kent is a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and a board member of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group. He devotes 100% of his practice to litigation in product liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other cases involving personal injury and wrongful death. Throughout his career he has been an advocate of trial by jury and is seen as a leader in the profession, having served as President of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) from 2005-2006, and on the MATA Executive Committee from 1997-2007.
