Langdon & Emison attorney Brett Emison has been appointed to the National Finance Committee and the Publications Committee for the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Brett’s term on the National Finance Committee while run through the organization’s annual meeting in 2014, while his tenure on the publications group will end at that point in 2015.
For more than 65 years, AAJ has supported plaintiff trial lawyers. It primarily does so “as the collective voice of the trial bar on Capitol Hill and in courthouses across the nation and by providing exclusive services designed for trial lawyers.” The AAJ’s National Finance Committee is the main group that governs national fundraising for AAJ initiatives, while the Publications Committee oversees AAJ titles such as Trial, and member e-newsletters, and AAJ print resources.
Brett’s practice focuses almost exclusively on catastrophic injury and death cases, as well as class action and other complex tort cases, including automobile defects, railroad crossing accidents (train accidents), trucking accidents, dangerous or defective drugs,defective medical devices, and a variety of other cases. In 2011 he was appointed to the executive committee of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
