Langdon & Emison is pleased to announce the addition of associate attorney Connor Curran to its staff. Connor joins the firm after practicing law nearly two years with a civil defense firm in Jefferson City, Mo.
As an associate at Langdon & Emison, Connor’s litigation practice focuses on representing clients nationwide who have suffered disastrous and even fatal injuries as a result of defective products, motor vehicle collisions and wrongful actions leading to avoidable and tragic deaths.
The firm also relies on Connor’s aptitude for advocacy during depositions, strategizing for trial and other phases throughout the course of litigation involving defective vehicles and consumer products, trucking collisions, premises liability and other instances of negligence.
Connor is a licensed member of the Missouri Bar and is admitted to practice in the Courts of Appeals for the Eastern and Western districts of Missouri. In 2016, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law where he made the Dean’s List every semester and also served as associate managing editor of the Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Law.
During law school, Connor gained substantial legal experience by completing numerous clerkships and internships for personal injury law firms, including Langdon Emison, and for county government and nonprofit entities, while also maintaining a consistent commitment to public service. Despite the time constraints that accompanied completing those clerkships and internships during law school, Connor viewed his commitment to giving back via public service as mandatory.
As a result, Connor was awarded a Pro Bono Certificate from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law for the time he volunteered to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and to AidsLaw Louisiana. He also served our nation’s veterans by participating in the Veterans’ Law Clinic during his last semester of law school, where he helped disabled Veterans recover the disability benefits they earned in the service of their country by appealing adverse decisions made by the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.
