Sara Skelton
Sara devotes her practice to representing clients and families who have suffered a catastrophic injury or death.
Sara is an associate attorney in the firm’s Complex Torts division, where she focuses her practice on helping seriously injured individuals and their families, from the firm’s Kansas City office. Sara serves on legal teams representing clients who have been injured in a full array of personal injury litigation. In 2024 she was honored by Missouri Lawyers Media as one of the top young lawyers in the state, recognizing her work in catastrophic injury cases.
Most recently Sara was a law clerk for Judge Roseann Ketchmark in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. There she prepared draft orders, assisted with discovery dispute hearings, status conferences, and pretrial conferences, assisted with criminal and civil trials, and mentored interns.
Sara also worked as a law clerk for Judge Mark Pfeiffer in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, and as a legal analyst with Kelly Managed Services where she reviewed and analyzed discovery documents on behalf of a pharmaceutical company. Earlier in her career she was a senior management analyst for E3 Federal Solutions, where she worked in the area of Facility Security Assessment process requirements and technical countermeasure recommendations.
A graduate of UMKC School of Law, Sara served as staff member on the Urban Lawyer, and was magna cum laude as an undergrad at Truman State University where she majored in Spanish.
