Sharon Kennedy
Sharon brings a diverse legal background to Langdon & Emison and the clients she serves. She regularly represents clients in matters pertaining to dangerous products, premises liability, auto accidents, wrongful death and other personal injury matters.
For nearly 20 years, Sharon practiced with one of Kansas City’s largest law firms, where she was a member of its commercial litigation department, focusing on motion and appellate practice, In addition to commercial litigation, her career spanned such diverse practice areas as personal injury and wrongful death, construction law, governmental liability, corporate transactions, and estates and trusts, among others.
Sharon’s experience encompasses all phases of litigation — from developing legal strategies, analyzing, researching and authoring petitions and pre- and post-trial motions to first-chairing bench trials and second-chairing jury trials, In addition, as an appellate practitioner, Sharon has authored appellate briefs in both state and federal courts, presented oral argument, served as amicus curiae to the Missouri Supreme Court in a governmental liability case, and prepared petitions for writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.
Understanding that her clients’ cases are usually some of the most stressful times in their lives, Sharon is committed to using her breadth of knowledge and experience to best serve Langdon & Emison clients.
