To spread a bit of holiday cheer, the staff at Langdon & Emison recently gave donations to the Harvesters Community Food Network Backsnack Program and Feed Northland Kids, two organizations dedicated to feeding children in the greater Kansas City region who are at risk of going hungry on weekends.
The donations were made in honor of the 10 attorneys at Langdon & Emison and will go toward feeding four children for an entire year in the Missouri counties where the attorneys live and work, including Jackson, Clay, Platte and Lafayette.

The Harvesters’ Backsnack Program provides a weekly backpack filled with nutritious, child-friendly food for school children to take home over the weekend. More than 100,000 children in the Harvesters’ service area receive free and reduced-price school meals during the week and are at risk of going without food during weekends, according to the organization.
Feed Northland Kids is an organization focused on addressing weekend nutrition and hunger by providing healthy, kid-friendly food for nearly 3,000 school-age children living in the Northland of Kansas City, Mo. Feed Northland Kids works in partnership with the Harvesters’ Community Network.
“Our staff consists of individuals who have huge hearts and care deeply about the communities where we live and work,” said Bob Langdon, founding partner of Langdon & Emison. “It was a tremendous honor to receive this gift, but more importantly, to know that it would go toward helping children in need.”
